Before becoming an osteopath, Jennifer spent thirty years working as a radiographer — a career that gave her an exceptional, clinically grounded understanding of human anatomy that most practitioners simply don't possess.
Her path into osteopathy was a personal one. After developing chondromalacia patellae — a painful knee condition — she visited an orthopaedic surgeon and underwent physiotherapy, yet remained unable to climb stairs without significant pain. Four sessions with an osteopath changed everything. A career change soon followed.
That firsthand experience of what osteopathy can achieve — where other interventions couldn't — is something Jennifer carries into every consultation.
Areas of Specialism
Jennifer specialises in lower limb problems — particularly leg length discrepancies — alongside the more common osteopathic presentations of neck, shoulder, and back pain.
She also practises visceral manipulation, supporting patients with stomach pain, IBS, ileocecal valve dysfunction, and wider digestive issues.
Over time, Jennifer has developed what she calls Osteo-Kinesiology — an integrated approach combining visceral, kinesiology, and musculoskeletal osteopathy within a single treatment session, drawing on her full range of qualifications to treat the body as a connected whole.
She is additionally qualified in K-taping, which can assist recovery from sports injuries to the knees, shoulders, feet, and neck, including helping to stabilise disc-related problems.
