Treatments & Appointments
Every patient is different. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, Jennifer draws on her full range of qualifications — osteopathy, applied kinesiology, visceral and cranial work — to build a treatment that fits your unique body and complaint.
What Jennifer Treats
Jennifer sees patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, digestive and systemic complaints. The following is not exhaustive — if you are unsure whether osteopathy can help, please get in touch.
Jennifer is one of only 32 practitioners in the UK (as of 2024) qualified to offer Osteo-Kinesiology — a dual approach approved by both the Institute of Osteopathy and the General Osteopathic Council, which merges musculoskeletal osteopathy with applied kinesiology into a single integrated session.
This means patients receive nutritional and systemic support alongside structural treatment — addressing not just how the body moves, but what it needs to function and heal properly.
It is particularly valuable for complex or longstanding cases where conventional approaches have not produced clear answers.
The core of Jennifer's practice. Backs and shoulders make up the majority of her work, but she is qualified to assess and treat soft tissue problems throughout the body — including the pelvis, abdomen, chest, head and neck.
Most sessions involve a thorough case history, assessment, and hands-on treatment. Follow-up exercises are provided where appropriate.
Jennifer has practised Applied Kinesiology for over 25 years. Using a series of gentle muscle tests, she assesses whether patients have deficiencies in vitamins or minerals, or problems with blood flow, lymphatic drainage, or anxiety.
Bach Flower Remedies are often used as part of treatment. Patients have found it particularly effective for:
A specialised form of soft tissue treatment focused on the abdomen, pelvis, chest and neck. Jennifer uses gentle, precise manipulation of the body's visceral tissues to address internal restrictions that can cause or contribute to pain and dysfunction.
Particularly effective for digestive issues, abdominal discomfort, and cases where musculoskeletal symptoms have an underlying organ component.
A subtle and refined approach that works with the body's natural rhythms. Using very gentle pressure, Jennifer assesses and treats restrictions in the head, spine and throughout the body — suitable for all ages including infants and the elderly.
Often used alongside structural osteopathy to support nervous system function, reduce tension, and aid recovery from trauma or long-term stress.
Jennifer is qualified in kinesiology taping, which can provide support and stability during recovery from sports injuries. Commonly applied to the knees, shoulders, feet and neck — including to help stabilise disc-related problems.
K-taping is typically used as part of a broader treatment session rather than as a standalone appointment. Please mention it when booking if it is relevant to your complaint.
Your First Visit
Your first appointment will begin with a thorough case history — Jennifer will take time to understand your symptoms, medical background, and any previous treatments you have had.
She will then carry out a physical assessment before beginning hands-on treatment. Depending on your presentation, she may draw on one or more of her areas of expertise within a single session.
Follow-up exercises and advice are provided where appropriate. Jennifer will always explain what she is doing and why throughout your treatment.
